      However, such tests highlight a number of limitations. For instance, SFST suffers from confounding subjective variables (Booker, 2004; Rubenzer, 2008), such as anxiety and age, and it is based on judgments made by quickly trained law-enforcing personnel. On the other hand, the alcohol blood level depends upon the subject’s metabolism while recreational drugs have short-window detection and drug detection does not necessarily correlate to reduced cognitive abilities (Kidwell et al., 1998).
