The number of A. intact cells and B. spermatozoa recovered from swabs. Three sets of swabs from 3 different volunteers were extracted using PBS or water and the extract (5 μl) was spotted onto slides

The number of A. intact cells and B. spermatozoa recovered from swabs. Three sets of swabs from 3 different volunteers were extracted using PBS or water and the extract (5 μl) was spotted onto slides and counted (500× magnification). There are no significant differences in the number of cells or spermatozoa extracted using water or PBS.
